The esteemed panel of beer brains at the Brewers Guild of New Zealand have declared Batch 293 the best wheat beer in the country. Panhead couldn't be more proud of their clever brew crew who have absolutely elevated this timeless style that some say is the original hazy. It's luxuriously soft and layered with cinnamon, clove, banana and toast notes. Sold? Gold!

There's an elemental darkness at the heart of this massive Black Barley and Rye Wine. You can feel it wafting rich, dark fruit up from the glass with powerful overtones of tobacco and bourbon. Like its stable mate The Vandal, Black Sabbath is inspired by a famous John Reid-built kiwi hot rod, but at the same time Panhead think its strength and uncompromising character also pay considerable tribute to the rock and roll originators of the name.

Pilsner is famously Czech in origin, but here we've gone for a South Pacific hop profile in keeping with the people who brew it and drink it. Passionfruit, grapefruit and sauvignon blanc characters abound, stacked up on a robust malt base that's partly German, partly Kiwi.

XPA means Extra Pale, a product of Quickchange's lighter malt base. That delicate colour though is undercut by a glorious hit of alpha oils from Mosaic, Galaxy and Citra hops. Sometimes you don't want your mouth flayed raw and your liver worked to a standstill. Sometimes a few luscious notes of mango, guava, lychee and pineapple can be just the thing.
