Bach Brewing have been on the hops again... brewing up their latest batch for the annual NZIPA challenge at Smith's Craft House in Queenstown. As Kiwi as a bungy jump in Budgie smugglers, their all-star all-NZ IPA is jammed with new season Nelson grown Riwaka, Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin and Motueka hops, all nestled on juicy Gladfield malts, harvested from the Canterbury plains. 6.5% ABV.

Bach Brewing have been on the hops again... reminiscing a glorious safari trip pre-Bach Brewing days. Their latest brew is loaded with a Rhino's weight of Riwaka, Nelson Sauvin, Mosaic and Citra hops, and juicy malts originating from the fertile plains around Feilding. 8.2% ABV.

Originating from East Coast USA, the New England or Hazy IPA style de-emphasizes hop bitterness and showcases hop flavour and aroma reminiscent of tropical fruit juice. Bach Brewing have brewed their first hazy IPA with a juicy combination of Maris Otter; wheat malts, oats, and a truck load of tropical fruit driven hops from NZ, Australia and USA. 6.2% ABV.

With a finish as smooth as Travolta, Disko Inferno is a badass new Schwarzbier. This dark and mysterious brew delivers subtle chocolate notes, crisp refreshment and an uplifting chorus of noble hops. Its style is refreshingly different, like goth night at the disko. Pilsner and lager drinkers will swoon for its clean finish, while its hints of complexity will attract dark beer fans to the d-floor.

Of the dozens of unique wheat beer styles out of Europe the two most popular are the Belgian witbier, and the German hefeweizen or weissbier. Both styles are smooth and cloudy, and both derive much of their signature flavour from their yeast. The hefeweizen is best known for its characteristic flavours of banana and cloves, which we reckon makes it even tastier than its Belgian cousin.

This Sculpin IPA is a great example of what got Behemoth into brewing in the first place. This is not your typical Hop Buddies. Instead Behemoth have opted for a West Coast version. Why? because Jason Bathgate and Andrew Childs LOVE West Coast IPAs! This beer is about 2 buddies coming together and using some of their favourite hops Nelson Sauvin and Mosaic in all of their glory. 9 years ago Jason and Andrew were involved in a horrible brewing accident leaving both with burns on over 40% of their bodies. Thankfully they have recovered and are currently doing what they love, making great beer. But without the help of Westpac Rescue Helicopter (amongst many others) they might not still be here right now.
