Six different cask finishes are exquisitely curated to create a one of a kind whisky with a rich and enticing flavour profile.

To create The Balvenie PortWood 21 year old single malt whisky, a marriage of rare Balvenie is transferred to port casks, or pipes, which have held fine port wines. Here it is sampled regularly by The Balvenie Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE to ensure that just the right amount of character is imparted by the port casks, enhancing and developing the single malt whilst preserving its original characteristics.

Rare Cask's rich mahogany-red whisky showcases two of The Macallan's greatest and most defining strengths - sherry seasoned oak casks and natural colour.

Selecting similar quantities of contrasting cask types - nine first-fill European sherry seasoned oak hogsheads, eight ex-bourbon hogsheads, and nine refill hogsheads - gives the November 2019 Release of Highland Park 21 Year Old single malt whisky an impressively rounded and unique flavour. As the warm spices and rich dried fruit flavours of the European casks mingle with the sweeter, exotic fruit notes from the ex-bourbon hogsheads, the softer influence of the refill casks finishes off the harmony. Bottled at its marrying strength of 46%, this exceptionally well-balanced whisky delivers notes of freshly-cut pineapple, ripe mango, juicy pears, sun-dried sultanas, dried exotic fruit, spice market aromas and curls of densely aromatic peat smoke. Johnnie Walker King George V was created to celebrate the Royal Warrant given in 1934 to the Walker family to mark the exceptional qualities of their whiskies. The King George has more restraint and sophistication courtesy of the Port Ellen Distillery component that is powerful, slow and resonant. It initially shows a profound smoky aroma followed by sweet, fresh fruit (apples, pears, bananas) malt characteristics; developing into rich dried fruit and spicy complexity, raisins, figs and cinnamon. Taste is powerful, complex, rich yet smooth. A mouth warming and lingering rich peaty finish.

This exclusive Glenfiddich expression has been matured for 23 years in American and European oak casks and elegantly finished in rare French cuvée casks. The finest flavours from Scotland and France have been fused together through the art of experimentation, to redefine moments of celebration and create a new and extraordinary drinking experience. On the palate layers of rich vanilla oak, sweet brioche, sandalwood, pear sorbet and white grape.

Two oaks, creating the perfect harmony within one exceptional single malt whisky. Macallan Double Cask whiskies are aged in two types of oak, in specially selected hand-crafted casks seasoned with dry Oloroso sherry. American oak imparts delicate flavours of vanilla, citrus and butterscotch. European oak delivers the unmistakable subtle spice of The Macallan. Deep oak, spring blossom, brown sugar and exotic spices. Excellence is a rare and aged single malt that has spent 26 long years carefully maturing in American oak ex-Bourbon casks. This expression was created to honour Glenfiddich's line of continuous family ownership since William Grant founded the distillery in 1887. Doing things their own way means Glenfiddich can create a luxurious single malt that truly lives up to its name. They've created a vibrant yet soft and delicate whisky, with a deep and complex balance of sweetness and dry oak tannin. Bound to excite the palate and awaken the nose.

Under the watchful eye of Dalmore's Master Distiller, the liquid is initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. This gives its first base of soft vanilla and honey notes. The whisky is then transferred to Gonzalez Byass casks which have held 30YO Matusalem oloroso sherry. This additional enhancement period allows true flavour enrichment as the liquid changes profile in the cask and really allows the potential to shine through. A multifaceted whisky with a higher strength at 43.8% exposes real rarities in flavour. This is a true coming of age whisky. Aroma Seville oranges, bitter chocolate, Colombian coffee and vanilla. Palate Sweet liquorice stick, Black Forest fruits, roasted walnuts and thick marzipan. Finish Peaches, ginseng, pear tarte tatin and Sanguinello blood oranges.
