Thankfully, they were right. Pernicious Weed is a celebration of the NZ-developed hop varieties Nelson Sauvin and Rakau. Huge grapefruit flavour in a worryingly-drinkable strong IPA.

Situated in the mountainous highlands of Southland, here different soils and extremes of heat and cold push the flavour profiles of the hops we know to new and exciting places. It's all about balance. Bright California inspired IPA with an effortless blend of clean sweet malt and punchy citrus hops. Mounds of Chinook, Cascade, Simcoe, Strata and Sauvin hops create a flavour and aroma loaded with fresh cut grapefruit, sun warmed pine, passionfruit and a hint of rock concert kush. Cool tricks.

Home & Away, a series of rebrews bringing some of our funnest overseas collaborations back to the Garage. For this release we turn to the dark side with South Pacific Soufflé Stout, first brewed with Boston's beer bosses, Trillium. Brewed with Tongan vanilla pods, cacao nibs and Timor-Leste grown coffee beans from Wellington's own Flight Coffee, this huge dessert stout pours an opaque jet black with luscious layers of vanilla gelato, burnt marshmallow, chewy dried fruits and mocha latté. Bringing home the goodness.

Surrender to the Void, outrageously decadent pitch black stout brewed using an enormous, complex malt bill and mounds of debaucherous adjuncts. What's the Void up to today? Hot chocolate, that sounds nice. With dried orange peel, cinnamon, vanilla and marshmallows, very creative, and chilli? WHAT DO YOU MEAN ALL THE CHILLIES! Void, have you no restraint! Turn off your mind, relax and float down stream.

Named after the gentle 'plum rain' that falls in Japan as the ume harvest ripens, Tsuyu is a new take on the Saison style. Brewed with New Zealand Motueka, American Simcoe and Hallertau Blanc hops, Tsuyu is aged in freshly emptied New Zealand Chardonnay barrels and infused with ume plum and red shiso leaf. The result is a complex and fascinating fusion of East, West and South. Kanpai! Originally brewed in Japan in collaboration with Tokyo's Coedo Brewery and US West Coast brewery Stone.

Go on, treat yourself. Garage Project and Duck Island bring you Ambrosia Ice Cream Sour. Creamy lactose, oats, wheat, sour cherries, raspberries, marshmallows and chocolate nibs all go into making a sweet tart ice cream sour that's so creamy and delicious, you'll want to have it in a cone. Created in collaboration with Duck Island Ice Cream.
