A true Penfolds original, St Henri has quietly carved its own path since its first commercial vintage in 1957. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon parcels sourced from vineyards throughout the Barossa. The fruit is fermented for up to 14 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blend's complexity and finalised through a selection process. The resulting wine is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums with mint and varietal leafy notes. Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé is the exception among Perrier-Jouët champagnes - a gourmet cuvée in which the floral nuances of Chardonnay are boldly juxtaposed with the rich fruit of Pinot Noir. This cuvée unleashes intense aromas of citrus fruit (pink grapefruit, blood orange) and ripe berries (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry), complemented by a hint of exotic pomegranate.
